KITH is a street wear brand from NYC. The founder Ronnie Fieg started in the footwear industry before expanding his company to clothing; both men and women’s. The company is known for their large collection and for being at the forefront of street wear. They currently have 3 stores; 2 in Soho and 1 in Brooklyn. The company only started in 2011 and KITH had their first fashion show in NYC Fall of this year. They have their own in house labels, as well as carrying brands such as Nike, Adidas, Asics, to mention a few. KITH is becoming more popular, but they haven’t expanded enough to be fully recognized. I want to showcase their shoes and clothing so that people can be aware that they are an affordable high quality street wear brand.
The goal was to create a pop up that will showcase all of KITH’s collaberations since the start of the company. The graphic pallette of KITH will be strong on both the inside and outside locations, and the pop up will be easy to navigate for visitors.
I don’t want to simply create a pop up runway, as seen in malls, I want to focus on the idea of an event and display to produce a fashion show/pop up shop that can be shown during fashion week. The exhbiti will be modular so that everyone can be transformed from outside to inside. There will be clothes available for purchase and a free cereal bar that is consistent with what is in KITH’s current store.
